There are old-fashioned taverns, more than 200 highly rated restaurants and everything in-between thus the country offers a bit of anything to everyone. The specialty of the northern part of the country is fish. In the region called “Old Land” (
Altes Land), located in Lower Saxony and Hamburg, the local inhabitants enjoy the fruits from the orchards. In eastern Germany, potato dumplings are a great delicacy.
