Bergen International Festival

Two intense weeks with over 200 events in the fields of music, ballet, opera, theatre, dance and the performing arts.

Bergen International Festival was founded in 1953 and has focused on presenting prominent international and Norwegian artists in the fields of music, ballet, opera, theatre, dance and the performing arts. The Festival, which is the principal event of its kind in Norway, takes place every year over 15 days at the end of May and presents over 400 events.

Athens Epidaurus Festival

The Athens Epidaurus Greek Festival takes place every summer (from June to August) and includes various performances, like modern theatre, ancient drama, ballet, opera, jazz and classical music concerts and art exhibitions. The events take place in various theatres around Athens and in the Ancient Theatre of Epidaurus. In fact, the peak of this festival are the ancient drama performances that are displayed in summer weekends in Epidaurus.

World Puppet Theatre Festival
Sep 20 – Sep 29 all-day

Founded in 1961, the World Puppet Theatre Festival sets the standard internationally and is an unmissable event in the world of the Puppet Arts. It takes place every two years in Charleville-Mézières. Every year, around 250 troupes from five continents meet to present their creations to over 150,000 spectators from all over the world. For 10 days, the World Puppet Theatre Festival organises around 200 shows as part of the main event and fringe festival, street shows, meetings, exhibitions and other festivities. The techniques presented range from the traditional, with glove and string puppets, to more contemporary innovations via marionnettes portées (puppets controlled by rods at the back) and shadow theatre.

Paris Fringe Festival
Oct 11 – Oct 14 all-day

The next edition of the Paris Fringe fest, an international theater festival in English, takes place from 11–14 October 2019, with more than 70 English-language shows including theater, comedy, musicals, mime and more. International artists and companies come to Paris to take part in the events, workshops and discussions.
